Gartcosh CGA Infrastructure
The Gartcosh CGA development includes 1,300 houses across the site. The masterplan for the land, which stretches from the A752 Drumcavel road north to the A725 Johnstone Road south, is approximately 55 hectares expressly set aside for housing, a school and community land.
Upon our appointment in 2019, we carried out supporting engineering designs for the main arterial spine road and drainage infrastructure, gaining the required outline planning in principle. Detailed designs were compiled for the first phase 300-unit site to the north and associated infrastructure currently submitted for detailed technical approvals. This included the assessment of future connecting land and the design to DMRB requirements of three new roundabouts - one of which forms the principal access route.
Detailed designs were progressed to the submission stage for the first 300 units housing development served by the first phase infrastructure. Detailed costings and viability designs were prepared along with submission packages to the relevant local authorities, adhering to the tight project timescales.
