CGA East Kilbride – Cala/Lynch

Having been involved from concept phase, outline planning permission was approved for around 1,950 private residential dwellings and 250 affordable homes in October 2019.

The site is located to the South East of Eaglesham Road, Jackton and forms part of the East Kilbride Community Growth Area (CGA). The site included the creation of much needed new homes, retail facilities, play parks, a Primary School and a new major road linking Jackton and Lindsayfield.

We provided supporting information to gain the approved outline planning, including surface water and drainage strategies, proposed earthwork, and engineering reports to satisfy planning.

Further to gaining outline planning, we prepared detailed infrastructure design for 1.5Km of new distributor road and three primary roundabouts, along with bridge crossings and drainage infrastructure and detailed earthworks strategies for the 1,950 units site areas, new school and commercial site. We gained all statutory consents to enable construction to proceed in keeping with the programme.

Specialist geotechnical methods of ground treatment were utilised during the works, and we assisted in gaining the required Surface Water Management Plan approval from SEPA for the site.
