Bothwell – Cala Homes

Indev Consult was appointed by Cala Homes to provide Civil and Structural designs for a bespoke housing development consisting of twelve flats and twelve premium detached properties off Old Bothwell Road, Bothwell.

With extant approvals for serviced plots, our remit was to conduct the necessary designs and submissions for the proposed scheme, updated to current guidance and the provision of earthwork analysis, levels, drainage, and structural designs. As the site proved challenging both topographically and geotechnically, an iterative design process was implemented in order to achieve a cost-effective solution, incorporating the use of split-level units and detailed earthworks platform designs including retention.

The finished site won the Homes for Scotland ‘Development of the Year’ in their annual awards
